About Us
The Nishtar Degree College Wari
Nishtar Degree College and School System Wari Dir Upper, established in 2017, is the first and only degree-awarding institution dedicated to deliver quality higher education within Dir Upper, particularly for female students. Strategically located in the heart of Wari, the college began with an initial class of just 62 students, reflecting its mission to meet the educational aspirations of the local community. Rapid growth followed, and by 2019, the college secured affiliation with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal, enabling it to offer B.A/B.Sc programs. In 2020, a school section was introduced to extend educational opportunities from the ground up. By 2021, the college had expanded its academic programs, launching BS degrees in five vital fields:
English, Zoology, Chemistry, Pakistan Studies, and Computer Science, offering students comprehensive academic options aligned with current educational and employment trends. In response to the community’s needs, a male section was also introduced, making the college inclusive for all students. Nishtar Degree College and School System’s operations are formally registered and regulated by the Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA), Shaheed BB University Sheringal, the Private School Regulatory Authority (PSRA), and BISE Malakand. These accreditations affirm its commitment to maintain high educational standards and regulatory compliance, establishing the institution as a reputable and trusted center for academic excellence in Dir Upper.
